Abstract: Few months after the enforcement of what may be called the most renowned Regulation of the European Union, an analysis of the positioning of the subjects of the General Data Protection Regulation proves to be necessary, in order to debunk some myths issued by the lack of knowledge of its contents. The study concerns not only its most important subjects – the controller and the processor – but also the involved institutions and authorities, the categories of concerned persons or even the category of entities excluded from its application. An inventory of the attitudes identified during the first semester of enforcement, compared with the risks and sanctions, procedures and principles, events and the extent of the compliant application of the regulation in all the European Member States and beyond.

Rezumat: După câteva luni de la intrarea în vigoare a, poate, celui mai renumit regulament al Uniunii Europene, o analiză a poziționării subiectelor Regulamentului General privind Protecția Datelor este necesară pentru a spulbera unele mituri crescute în umbra necunoașterii. Studiul are în vedere efectele regulamentului nu doar asupra celor mai importante subiecte ale sale – operatorul și persoana vizată – dar și cu privire la instituții și autorități implicate, alte categorii de persoane interesate ori chiar categoria entităților excluse de la aplicare. Un inventar al atitudinilor decelate de practica primei jumătăți de an de aplicare, prin raportare la riscuri și sancțiuni, proceduri și principii, incidente și aplicare corespunzătoare și uniformă a regulamentului în toate statele membre ale Uniunii Europene și nu numai.
